The mission of this department is to develop and improve knowledge, ideas or concerns to the pharmacy studntents and pharmacy profession about the herbal Medicine, Medical Plants phytochemical investigahions and Quality Control of crude Drugs from plant sources.

The Teaching Services and research responsibilities of the Department aims to link this theoretical sciences with practical procedures and Technology, helping the graduated pharmacists to contribute to their pharmacy profession in their pratice with relevant expertise and strong back ground.

Teaching Responsibilities:

1.      Pharmacocnosy for first year students.

2.      Phytochemistry for second year students.

3.      Natural Product for third yea students.
